Deux Mains is committed to keeping your information private and protecting your personal information.  Deux Mains will never sell, rent, lease or exchange your personal information with other organizations. The identity of all who contact us through our website will be kept confidential. The use of your information is limited to internal purposes by authorized individuals and serves to only further Deux Mains and no other corporation or organization.

Deux Mains makes every effort to ensure the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Deux Mains uses Internet Encryption Software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, then de-encrypted at our server. All parties are required to keep the information confidential.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Customers may edit or deactivate their account at any time. Customers who no longer wish to receive newsletter/marketing communication may edit the settings in their account profile or use the “UNSUBSCRIBE” feature in the footer of email communications.

Electronic Communication:

The email address you provide for order processing will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, unless you decide to opt-in to the Deux Mains promotional newsletter lists.

If you opt-in, Deux Mains may use this information to notify you of any company updates, new arrivals, or any promotions you might find of value. If you don’t wish to receive these newsletters or updates then simply use the “UNSUBSCRIBE” feature in the footer of the email.

We use the third-party apps listed below to operate the Website and our business. o Klaviyo Email Marketing for Shopify: Provides us with functionality to send email newsletters manually, or to send messages automatically, based on user behavior. This app includes automated decision-making functionality, such as sending marketing emails based on your product purchases and your activity on the Website.

o Product Reviews, by Shopify: Provides the functionality for customers to leave product reviews.

o Shippo: Provides a fulfillment tool for our warehouses to ship products.

o Shopify and Shopify Flow: Provides us with Shopify automation capabilities. The app includes automated decision-making functionality, such as to prevent risk and fraud by merchants, to help merchants avoid fraudulent transactions from their customers, to personalize merchants’ experience when they use the Shopify admin and app store, and to determine eligibility for certain Shopify services (like Shopify Capital).

Social Media Platforms and Plugins:

We may interact with you on multiple social media platforms (e.g., Instagram and Facebook). If you contact us or otherwise direct us to communicate with you via social media, we may contact you via direct message or use other social media tools to interact with you. In these instances, your interactions with us are governed by this Privacy Policy as well as the privacy policy of the social media platform you use.

Plugins and Apps: Our Website includes social media plugins, such as the Facebook Like button and Instagram widget. These plugins may be hosted by a third party and may use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about you such as your IP address and which page you’re visiting on our Website.
