The Colors of Haiti Are Alive in Every Piece
This Haitian Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the culture, creativity, and craftsmanship that inspire everything we create at Deux Mains.
Handcrafted in Haiti by skilled Haitian artisans, our leather goods are deeply connected to the beauty, resilience, and artistry woven into everyday life throughout the country. From handcrafted leather bags to woven accessories and timeless essentials, every piece reflects the vibrant spirit of Haiti.

One of our greatest inspirations when thinking about the colors that reflect Haiti is the hibiscus, Haiti’s unofficial national flower, known locally in Haitian Creole as choublak. Blooming across the country in rich reds, warm corals, soft creams, and vibrant tropical tones, the hibiscus has long been woven into Haiti’s natural beauty, culture, and everyday life.
Historically, hibiscus was even used in Haiti to help polish leather, creating a meaningful connection between the flower and the craftsmanship behind handmade leather goods today. That relationship between nature, artistry, and craftsmanship continues to inspire the colors, textures, and details seen throughout our products.
At Deux Mains, we believe sustainable fashion should tell a story. Every handcrafted leather product is made in Haiti by artisans using traditional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and ethically sourced materials. By investing in Haitian-made leather goods, customers directly support artisan jobs, fair wages, and long term economic opportunity in Haiti.
This Haitian Heritage Month, we’re proud to celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship that make Haiti so vibrant. Through every stitch, weave, and handcrafted detail, the beauty of Haiti and its people come alive.
