The Beginning

To fully appreciate the Deux Mains brand, we must tell our story from the beginning.

Deux Mains President, Julie Colombino-Billingham, deployed to Haiti as a volunteer to support the earthquake recovery efforts. Within days she knew she wanted to be a part of the long term story.  With a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management, she did was she knew best and founded a nonprofit organization REBUILD globally.  

REBUILD globally provides a unique model of education and job training; it also serves as our most strategic partner in the fight against poverty.  We believe job creation is the ultimate answer.  However, Julie could not ignore the extreme poverty and how it effected the children she  encountered everyday.  So in addition to opening a small job training center to provide paid job training to men and women in Haiti.  She created education programs to provide School Sponsorships and Leadership Training for youth in Haiti.
