Our mission at Deux Mains is simple: to empower Haitian men and women with meaningful jobs so they may thrive with steady pay, all the while delivering unique, handcrafted fashion accessories to each conscious fashion lover out there — yes, that is you! With every piece you choose to own, you help create a better future for our incredible, skilled workers, and in return you wear a piece of jewelry that signifies a better future for all of us.
The inspiration for this new line of accessories came from the Haitian landscape itself: its beauty, its richness, its boldness. We carefully selected striking natural gems, such as jasper and pyrite, 14-karat gold and sterling silver, locally and sustainably sourced horn, and majok beads -- which grow naturally on the majok plant, indigenous to Haiti. A note on these natural beads: they vary slightly in shape and size, which gives every one of our creations a one-of-a-kind look and feel. Lastly, much like our sandal collection, our new jewelry range utilizes repurposed inner tire tubes, which allows us to give new life to an otherwise outworn material.
As each item is hand crafted with a beautiful medley of elegant materials, every one is guaranteed to be as unique as its wearer. Having flowered from Haitian-inspired designs and crafted using locally sourced materials, our new, sustainable range of necklaces, earrings and bracelets boasts a distinctive character that sets it out from any other.
